Dear John and Joyce, I was just looking through your profile and noticed that Jonathan has the same deletions (45-48) as my son Jordan. My son is 12 and was diagnosed in Oct. of last year. How is Jonathan doing? Jordan tires easily and did have problems with bullies at school. He is doing better with that now. He is doing physical therapy. What supplements, if any are you giving your son and what exercise regimen do you have for him. I would love to hear about your experiences. Kind regards, Meisa (Jordan's mom)

I was picked on relentlessly in 9th grade (this was in a small town in southern Illinois) Before 10th grade my family moved to the Washington DC area where I went to a school about 10 times the size in an inner city neighborhood, and oddly enough I was not picked on once! I dealt with being pushed down over and over so kids could watch me get back up, getting hit, yelled at, punched in the legs, absolutely ridiculous. I was too scared to speak out, but I'd say definitely make sure that the school knows the situation and is taking responsibility for his wellbeing. Something that I wish I would've done back then. There are a few good posts on genetics in the genetics section of this site. Several discuss deletions and duplications. Kevin
