Name: Matt Goldstein City: Arlington Heights State: IL Country: USA Year of Birth: 1974 Onset: Diagnosis: Deletion: Frame: In-Frame Cardiac Problems: N Ambulatory Problems: Y Respiratory Problems: N COMMENTS I think this is great. I'm doing well except for stairs and a couple of things.Other then that I feel great for the most part. I think we with Beckers need to stick together and focus on results with the researchers I feel we need the importance as others even though it is considered a milder case of MD. I think we need to find ways to support each other and to find other fundings separate from research to help each. The best thing about networking is we can win and help each other in a positive way. These ways of Employment suggestions, support for our families and children. I'm looking for support to start a Mid-west section for Beckers assoc. I know at times we feel lost and I think with suggestions and all of us together we can reach out until there's a cure. Remember we might be mild but we are important! if you need to contact me e-mail viscious_1@hotmail.com

Thank you! I hope so! If not there is always amendments that can be made. I'm just trying to open up what I do and get others to. Life is to short not to be open, Have fun and share good times. Bad days sometimes around the corner and I have had them but I always approach them with a smile and attitude.....

 Hi matt, how are you? sorry havent, been in touch, we,ve had a rough couple of weeks. Saw your notes on the shoes, Jer has problems some days with shoes. he has zips on his boots, used to wear shoes but not enough support for his ankles. The long awaited profiling bed arrived on Thursday, so he can now sleep elevated. Its like a hospital bed with all the toys but has teak ends so blends in with the furniture. We,ve also found out we can have an electric wheelchair via our doc,s , we didn,t know that . we find there is a lack of information as to what is available. As Jer became dependant so quicklyl, we hit the ground running. He hasn,t been to grand and is very low again, dealing with his current problems. How do you deal with the bad days, its really hard to help when he is this low. We have now found a fellow sufferer who lives near us, so this week , he and Jer are going to chat. so hopefully it may help him, . I try to look on the bright side of life but its an upward battle. Any tips will help. take care ali and jeremy

Well the good thing is you have each other and not to give up. There was a post put in about PTC124 it may not help yet but in the future it may so I would keep an eye on it. I think they are close and we all need to keep each other informed and up to date on what is going on around the MD community. Next I would just try to do what you can and try to find hobbies and interests and new ways of doing things. Be positive , tell jokes and Laugh. Sounds crazy but your attitude is one of the most things you need to get through this and keep you going. Send me a message on my profile and you guys can keep in touch on my personal email anytime.
