Hey Everyone! Zachary has been at Muscular Dystrophy camp all week. They called and said he was behaving well and having a great time. He comes home tomorrow and I'm sure he will have had a blast. I was surprised when I dropped him off....I did not see any kids in wheelchairs. I was expecting something totally different since Duchenne patients attended as well. Anyone on here have any camp stories? Also, we booked our flight to Boston to attend the Becker conference. See you all there! -Leighann :D

HI Leighann, Glad to hear Zachary is having a good time at MDA camp. We were invited to attend Easter Seals camp this summer but decided to wait a year. Easter seals is not only for children with muscular dystrophy but for all children with many types physical disability. I wouldn't expect to see too many children in wheel chairs at such a young age. Many duchenne children are walking until 10-12 years of age & some are walking into their teens.. regards, Roxanne.
