My son has had these same types of chest pains for several years.  It is frustrating to not know exactly what is causing it.  My son has had 2 EKG's & 2 echo's both of which showed everything was normal.  Matthew's also happen after an active day but more often when he gets cold.  He's extremely skinny for an 11-year-old so he gets cold often (and we're in Florida!)

I think there is large variation, just as there is with everyone. I've never been described as skinny. :) Based on the folks I met at the BMD conference, I can say that there are all shapes and sizes.

So Kevin,  are you saying that you have experienced chest pain, but your EKG and echos are 'somewhat' normal?

yes Nicholas just recently complained of chest pains.  He decribed it as "his chest was on fire"  heartburn maybe?  He has seen his cardiologist in May and everything checked out fine.    He had a EKG & Echo.  If he had the beginnings of heart problems wouldn't something show on these test? 

Very early in my heart issues..my local doctor did an EKG and said it looked fairly normal. Turned out it wasn't, if you looked more closely (ie were a cardiologist/Electro Physiologist)
I would suggest all BMDrs have a cardiologist do a workup. If the doctor has experience with MD and thinks everything is ok, then you're probably fine for now. It's good to get a baseline and monitor things, so you can treat any problems as soon as they appear. I know of several good places to have it done, University of Colorado Hospital in Denver is good and I've heard that there is also a good place in Cincinnati.
