I was having a conversation on facebook with our group Becker Muscular Dystropy Network Canada and it looks like the majority  have BMD by spontaneous mutation rather than from family genetics. Is there any information regarding the percentage of gentic carriers vs. spontaneous mutation? This would be a question I would ask at the conference in LA if I was attending.

Thanks
Gord

The numbers I've heard have been 30% Spontaneous and 70% inherited. Your milage may vary. We can take a non-scientific poll at the conference to see what the audience experience is....
